Meet The Face Behind WM Services Inc. (WM Roofing)

I’m Voytek Baraniak, the proud owner of WM Services Inc. (WM Roofing). I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I started in the roofing industry as a teenager. My father asked me to figure out how to fix his business’s roof, and I quickly learned the job. 

Fast forward to 1980, when upon immigration to Canada, I realized roofing was a career with a good scope for growth and an opportunity for self-sufficiency. In 1988, I started WM Services Inc. (WM Roofing) and served thousands of satisfied customers over the years. 

Now thirty years later, my business is still growing, and we are continually improving our process. After starting from my kitchen table with just a couple of helpers, now I have a warehouse, use the latest equipment, and employ a team of well-trained roofers.

Throughout my career, quality has remained my number one focus. Today we are elite contractors with some of the most extensive single-ply applications for companies like Duro-Last and Firestone and operate all over Canada.

The part of my job I find the most exciting is when I sign a new customer. I like meeting new people and see the process of developing long-lasting professional relationships as both enriching and enjoyable.

I run my business based on the philosophy that I can continually improve. While I do my best on every project, there is always room for improvement, and don’t allow myself to get complacent. 

As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from the others is my commitment to perfection, eye for detail, and absolute dedication to my clients. I attribute my success to my desire to learn and implement the new information and tools I acquire.  

Serving my community and providing dependable roofing services has given me immense satisfaction over the years and continues to inspire me. 

When I am not at work, which is rare, I like spending time with my family and friends. I also look forward to the winter as I get to take time off to travel, scuba-dive, ski, and generally enjoy life. 

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
